Another Perfect Flight for Hi-Jinks

BELVIDERE, IL – After two problematic flights this evening, the Space Program in Training turned to one of their most reliable rockets to turn their luck around.

Hi-Jinks was prepped with an Estes B-6-4 engine.  Bob and Daniel both checked the parachute several times on the ground before setting it on the pad.  Daniel counted it down and launched the rocket into the sky.  The flight went off without a hitch.  The rocket was visible throughout the flight.  While no actual data were collected, SPIT believes the rocket soared close to 500 feet in the air above Lincoln Elementary School.

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief as the parachute deployed and opened up fully.  Hi-Jinks drifted down slowly.  Daniel to reach the recovery area about 50 yards south east of the launch site before the rocket did.

“I just reached up to grab it and I caught it,” said Daniel.  Hi-Jinks’ twelfth flight ended with no damage to the rocket.
